I'm Emily. I'm 28 (super close to 29). I am a wife, a momma to an 8yr old furbaby Lola, and living in the DMV area with the hubs. I am a fitness fanatic, newer to the running scene, and learning the clean diet way of life.
I've been sidelined from running with 2 different injuries with only myself to blame. After seeing a Foot/Ankle specialist for the first injury and wearing the "boot" for 2 1/2 weeks I thought I was good to go. Then after a 10 mile race in April I was plagued by an IT band injury accompanied by hip trochanter bursitis. I was stricken from running for about 3 weeks and ordered 6 weeks of PT... then life got in the way and so I am just now able to start my therapy.
This blog is to document my journey back in to the running scene, to make new friends, learn about new races, learn new exercises/new diet plans, and learn how to keep myself healthy and on the RUN.
